I remember how Chinese democracy kept getting delayed for YEARS. So long that Madagascar, Better, Irs (and maybe another song or two) were leaked years before it was ever released on limewire. GnR/Axl kept running through band members so the final guitar solos and other parts ended up being different than the original recordings because of different guitarists.

Axl went too nu-metal here in 2002. He should have laid back, enjoyed the millions in the 90s, and then came back after nu-metal with the full band and done a hard rock album like Contraband. They would have won Grammys and be appreciated. Which I think is all Axl ever wanted.
