I have been a customer at Viktor"s for many years and have been happy with their service and advice. Darryl in particular is someone who will treat you with honest advice . HIs gunsmithing skills are outstanding and I have never had a problem with an y repairs he has done for me. I would have had no reservations having my weapons worked on by Viktor's.

I stopped by the gunsmith this morning, and he swapped out a backplate free of charge! Now I'm glad I didn't wait for the tool in the mail.

Nice! Just met Darrel today. Bought my first can from them. I'm taking your guys class on the 12th for pistol red dot. Excited for both!

i am a new gun owner and put on my own red dot sight for my S&W M&P 2.0 Metal - and yes... i got the appropriate torque wrench and used that for all my attachments. It took me two tries as the first wrench set i bought didn't come with the proper bits. What i really want to do is shadow a gunsmith when work is done... need to find one that has the car shop rates - you know $50/hour if they do it, $75/hour if i watch, and $100/hour if i help :)

My biggest "gun smithing" mistake was thinking that a break barrel pellet air rifle would be simple to work on. That is NOT true. It was worse than working on a "real gun". It became a several week project.

I have a gunsmith question. I purchased a 14.5” rifle with a pin and weld upper. Is it worth to have the muzzle break replaced with a one that can mate up to a suppressor, or just have the barrel replaced with a 16 inch barrel. Or for the cost incurred with a gunsmith to perform the work just purchase a separate upper? Inquiring minds want to know.

We replace pin and welded devices all of the time. That should be the most cost effective option.

The thing that I have run into with gunsmiths is they don't seem to know anything about older guns. If the gunsmith is under age 50, they all have this odd look on their faces and say, what the hell is that. The very first thing I look for is how quickly can they check the chamber to see if it's loaded after I hand it to them. If it takes them more than 60 seconds, i'm gone. A real gunsmith can check a trap door Springfield in seconds. I have driven four hrs one way to have a so called "Gunsmith" look at a gun, and end up leaving not long after I arrived. One other gripe I have, is that some gunsmiths will treat a very expensive gun like their at a yard sale, not cool.
