I don't like these open-ended stories. Did she hang or rot in prison or commit suicide? There's never any closure to these GUNSMOKE radio programs. 😡

Mostly, the bad guys gets killed. Here, we don't know for sure if the good son is really in the grave. Maybe, it's he that went to CA.

Most likely, she rotted in prison. They don't hang women, and they weren't going to take their eyes off of her long enough for her to kill herself. She sounded pretty defeated. I don't even think she'd have the mental, emotional, or physical energy to take herself out.
