@@JB--- It's subtle enough to be overlooked when it isn't being looked for. The TV version, though even more subtle, is harrowing enough but told in such a way as to be "less traumatic" to any viewers under 12, which was the way TV used to be, especially during "prime time / family hour." But the radio version does come a bit closer to "PG-14" than its TV counterpart.

@@JB--- Lots of modern day parents LET their pre-teens watch rated-R movies, which I don't think to be healthy viewing for youngsters.
