Finally! Good ‘ol Chester shoots somebody! I’ve listened to a few hundred episodes & he’s always portrayed as a loyal yet harmless, often bumbling sidekick but never shown to be physical or aggressive. loved listening to this episode & have a newfound respect for Dillon’s #2! BTW - do you think he smokes “CHESTERfield” cigs, or L&M??

Unfortunately I'm running out of episodes new to me. Chester has proved himself in a great many in small and large ways, perfect foil for Dillon. Chester doesn't smoke he chews.

Keep listening. When you hear Mr. Dillon confront a mob and say "Get the shotguns Chester" you will think differently. And the episode where Chester and Marshall Dillon massacre the Jayhawkers proves Chester is Bad Ass.
