This is a good one. Every domestic violence doesn't end with the woman getting away and living free. They go back often.

This was a painfully realistic episode. He isolated her from family and the ability to make friends. Not too many business opportunities for women. No government resources to help her (therapy, shelter, food) So of course she minimized his brutal beatings to “being mean” and of course she went back.
