@@dougkuhns My X-girlfriend from back in 2003 use to say Rage Against The Machine put on the best live show ever. I took her to see Local H (with Detachment Kit opening) in Tampa at The Twilight. After the show was over she told me Local H puts on the best live show ever. And then we went and saw them 2 days later at Wills Pub in Orlando. I always go to multiple shows when they come down here. She said it was Scott's "energy" on stage and off it. He crowd surfed at Twilight while playing. He walked through the crowd at Wills while playing. Best show on earth.

Back in 1996, I can still remember where I was when I first heard Bound For The Floor. For those of us that were still recovering from Kurt Cobain's death and the fading out of the Grunge Era, Local H's sound was just what we needed at the time. They had very similar energy and sound and I was hooked. For me, it felt like they picked up where Nirvana and Grunge left off. I am still a dedicated fan to this very day, too. This band has had a very profound impact on my life. Thanks for giving them some air time on your channel

6 years ago, I went to a Local H concert here in Germany when they toured in Europe as support for Alien Ant Farm. I knew this would be like a once in a lifetime chance to see them play because they usually just tour the US. Saw them play, got what I wanted. When Alien Ant Farm played, who completely sucked, I saw Scott Lucas standing at the merch. No one bought anything and nobody seems to know who he was. I got my copy of 'As Good With Dead' with me. He signed it and we had two beers together and talked about music and stuff, he was very calm and really down to earth. Made me like his music even more. He was never in for the money or whatever, just for the fun and enjoyment of music. I admire musicians like him.

this band was a significant portion of the soundtrack of my high school and college years. i saw this band more times in more places than any other band. i was there at the show they had auctioned off on the early days of the internet. i'd seen them in three states. i was at a release party for pack up the cats.... violently ill and struggling to stay standing while waiiting for the band to go on an perform. i met the band on several occasions. i patterned a lot of the songs i wanted my own band to play off stylistic stuff they done. the last time i'd seen them i remember this superfan dude, patiently waiting to take his turn talking to the band. he was doing ok, and then this groupie swoops in and he literally didn't exist. i saw my own 25 years of fandom in that moment and since then i just can't be a fan of any music. i don't necessarily blame the band, if i were a mid level success i'd probably place an impossibly high premium on taking the ride. but in that moment seeing how little that super fan actually meant compared to easy meat...... it really put me off of rock as an act, as a lifestyle, as an attitude, as everything.....
