Yep, enjoyed it, an really like the ransom rest, as I feel it removes the human from the equation. But I'm a big accuracy buff from way back, an I think you will find that pistol will get more accurate as time goes on, especially now that you found ammo it likes. I don't know why but I have a couple of .22 lr pistols that took a couple of bricks of ammo to get broke in, then they started hitting to point of aim consistently, just an observation on my part, your mileage may very. Thx for the vid Dustin

My wrangler shot low right by 3 inches. The barrel was not threaded to a true Top Dead Center. I resolved this issue by removing the ejection rod, wrapping the barrel in ⅛ neoprene, firmly tighten in a portable vise and threaded off the barrel. After a quick cleaning of the threads, I put a bit of blue lock tite and was able to line up the sights to a true Top Dead Ceter. This needed further adjustment by filing down the front sight gradually. All work was performed at the range. I can now achieve 1½-2 inch groups at 50 feet. Ammo used was Browning 40 grain SV. Hope this helps.

I really enjoyed this video. There’s something about shooting revolvers especially 22’s. As far as ammo goes I never ever buy or use Winchester, whenever there a failure there’s a good chance it’s Winchester ammo. CCI is the standard 22 ammo. I’m 66 years old and as far back as memory serves me I’ve never had any CCI 22 fail to go Boom. I’d like to see more videos using that gun clamp. I also wished to see Golden Bullets tested against the rest of those you used in this video. I appreciate the time and effort by you for sharing this video.

Hmmm I have a Wrangler and frankly, I hope mine shoots a bit better than that. And another single action to file the front sight on... I would think that .22LR is pretty standard for velocity - yes there are variations but for the normal 40 grain loads, you'd think the elevation would be closer to point of aim... The new Super Wrangler with adjustable sights seems to shoot better and of course, you can adjust the sights as needed.

Great test! I wonder how well the gun would group with match ammo like eley match or lapua midas, but I know that very few wrangler owners will be using that ype of ammo for practice and plinking, especially after seeing how cci tactical grouped. Any chance we may see a Super Wrangler test from you in the future? Keep up the great videos! The Ransom Rest makes the myriad of youtube reviews with people shooting groups offhand obsolete. Unless they are precision shooters who compete at the national level most pistols are going to outgroup them even from a rest.

Well that pistol rest is pretty cool. Could you please use your rest to do a test of the accuracy of 22 ammo that I have to shoot in my Remington Iroquois. My Remington Iroquois being made in the 1870s is black powder only. I take CCI's 22lr pull the bullet off. dump out the smokeless. Refill with blackpowder then put a 22cal round ball from a air gun on top of the case lightly tapped in. I will be making a video on me reloading these soon in my Remington Iroquois video.

@tzackaria7 with revolvers in general, yes. Especially with this particular one because the sights are hard to see. I said this in my original post. I know my limitations with revolvers and would never blame the gun, which I see some do. Very rarely is the gun causing inaccuracy issues unless there is something mechanically wrong with it.

I never realised that Ruger made such an inaccurate revolver! Perhaps if you fed it some decent ammo (over here American 22 is a bit of a joke) and got it out of the rest and used bean/sand bags it may have done better? To be fair I mave never used a Ransom Rest and have only grouped Ruger Revolvers in 357 and 44 Mag (GP100, 2 x Security Six, Super Blackhawk and Redhawk) and none of them failed to group 1/2 to 1inch (with the right loads) at 25 yds. My Ruger .22 Semi Auto would go into .2 inch at 25 yds with Lapua Pistol Trainer ammo. Very interesting video but I think that gun is faulty - just my 2p/c
