FYI: 1. Gunung Padang read as Goo-noong-pa-dunk (with an A like in Germany, not in English. Like Adidas) 2. Padang in local language (Sundanese; and Javanese also) translated as "bright". Let me explain a little bit longer, we (locals) use similar idioms like in English, "I'm in the dark" to explain that we don't understand the situation. While to explain that you finally understand the situation, in English you might use "I can see clearly now"; we (locals) use idiom "Nah, sekarang sudah padang" which if translated literally becomes "ah, now it's bright". The point is we use the word "Padang" not only to explain that the room situation is bright, but also that the mind is bright (or you can say as enlighted). So it might be that the translation of Gunung Padang is not only as Mount Padang (as just a location naming) but also as Mount of Enlightenment.

Djin in Qur'an is the same as "elohim" in Tanakh. There are truths in every Mystery Books of God (I prefer not to use the term "holy book" by religion), that correlated each other, and binded with our ancient ancestors beliefs. For example, both Qurayishan (Islam) and Nazarene (Nasrani, not Christian) believe the One God that has no beginning nor ends. In ancient Batak belief, Nalim, which one of it's High Priest was sisingamangaraja, believe in one God "Debata nasomarmula naso marujung" which means God whom has no beginning nor ends. And one of it's center of rituals is the miniature of the Tabernacle of Moses.

It seems to be the world's most giant jigsaw puzzle which should be scanned and stored in a database and then people should try to put it together to see what it probably looked like. Andesite is a volcanic rock "similar" to basalt only lighter in color and containing less iron and magnesium than basalt. Often containing phenocrysts (large conspicuous crystals), Andesite is a host rock for Andesine, a precious gemstone. A majority of the Earth's continental crust is composed of andesitic rocks.

Also reminder that 8000 BC is just an estimate, and it could go even before that once the layers are revealed. By that time Sundaland still existed or partly existed. So that area would have been high, way high up on the mountain (it still is, actually). considering what the climate might have been back then, that place wouldn't suit farming via rice paddle at all. maybe they can grow herbs and relatively cold-resistant plants, but not rice. As such is why the name is "mountain of light". it wasn't just a hill top, back then. the site was made in conjunction to Gunung Gede (literally means "big mountain").

Gunung Padang is older than all the pyramids in the world (Egypt), also older than Noah's age. Historical evidence that can't be faked, very old type of stone. Even the relics of the "Solomon" temple, are also many in Indonesia.

I'd be amazed if the terracing wasn't used for farming or at least gardens. Was the most obvious thing that sprung to mind upon first glance. It likely isn't the primary reason for construction but I imagine our ancestors would've been rather pragmatic about it. I'm amazed people haven't ever moved the blocks from that first pile to see what is underneath. Obviously it'd be a rather mandraulic process since getting heavy equipment up there is likely a task but 4-5 blokes could shift that pile in a week or so to see what lies beneath.

hard to tell where the bias starts and where the verifiable information ends. Pictures are nice, rather hear the guide's opinions directly then 2nd hand. props to guide and cameraman. Most of these stone don't seem to be in their original position, looks more like piles of what used to be structures or left over unwanted stone cuts. Hard to imagine those short stone pillars servingas as a wall base, but i'm open to being shown constructs in the last 300 years that utilize pillars like that for the base of walls.

If the one you think is guide is Danny Hilman, he's no guide. He's the leading archeologist from Indonesia before the research in that place was stopped following the previous president stepping down from his position. The new government is unwilling to fund his research further, most likely because the fund was used elsewhere, like the development in the country's borders. So, tbh, he's the one who knows the most regarding the site if I may say.

It would be very useful for you to explain andesite. Am I wrong this is the kind of material that was volcanic material that crystallized into many sided round columns? Such that when it's mine you just literally crack it off the base and you've got these beams that can be used? Or what is it :-)

Seems to me Gunung Padang is Lemurian built whereas examples in the west of Giza pyramids or Gobekli Tepe are Atlantean built. Whether the original inhabitants of these ancient, prediluvian lands or their post flood survivors. Says to me these peoples were once living together and shared the same advanced ancient knowledge and technology. But separated to different areas of the globe for reasons yet to be fully understood.
@tartariarecentalt.history3944
@tartariarecentalt.history3944 Жыл бұрын
Agree 100%. I think the Western powers, who are more than likely related to the Atlantean lineage, are constantly trying to hide the existence and history of Lemuria and Mu. There are so many incredible sites around the globe, but those of us in the West just get shown picture of Giza and Stonehenge over and over and over and over again. Some sites far outdo those two places, especially places in Southeast Asia ...which is the area that Lemuria was purported to exist...

It lies in Cianjur and Cianjur earthquake this year explained us why this great structure has been like this. Indonesia doesn't have permanent heritage buildings like Greek or Roman. Even if the buildings was made from hard stone, volcanoes, tsunami, flood, and earthquake would bury it.

The megaliths in this documentary are continuously referred to as: andesite. However, they more closely resemble columnar basalt -- which is the same sort of igneous (volcanic) stonework used in the construction of Nan Madol in Micronesia. Just sayin'.

This would be much better as a Time team archaeological study. I'm getting a sense so far the speakers don't have that much factual knowledge of this particular place. I mean you don't even explain that the rocks are basically naturally formed that way into columns. People did some shaping but they didn't have to cut these things out of solid rock. Nature created those columns man used them. It would be interesting to hear where they mined them from.
