One/Two-shots hive guard, one/two-shots head off brood commanders, one-shots bile and nursing spewers if you hit them in the head. Quite a few mechanics missing here. AMR is not meant for cannon fodder bugs.

Exactly, it's amazing for killing the higher threat bugs beyond their agro range. One shotting the mortar spewers is amazing.

Agreed. Been taking the AMR to missions with ton of spewers. It has been surprisingly affective in quickly taking down the bugs that are bullet sponges

True but in general he still had it right, amr is great for boys, not as much for bugs, you’re better off taking a flamethrower

Kill the bile titan sacs and use railcannon strike. Very doable with AMR. Also, the back legs are vulnerable for chargers when they finish a charge. Just two or three shots each charge. Also takes out Brood Commanders and the Guards in one headshot. Add these interactions when you review them. It is very good.

0:56 The aiming on PS5 is just as good as on PC. The game is gyro supported, and it doesn’t even turn off the aim assist (I don’t use AA, but a lot of people don’t want to give it up). It even uses the touchpad to control your map tagging and scrolling, which is not even something a KbM can do. I’m able to run around and work scouting pings on my minimap at the same time, which is just incredible.

Giving it up would require them to actually actualize their sensitivity settings, which is what I do But then they can't full smack the thumbstick in one direction w AA correcting the aim once it goes over an enemy

One big problem tho.....it has a GARBAGE TRASH scope it is not properly zero'd in aka properly calibrated real point of impact is "left upper corner from dead center" even at 50m - 100m - 200m. Others have stated this as well its a big frustrating issue. Also at times when i am 100% certain im hitting the weak spot on say a stationary HULK while proned it wont register shots. And the constant adjusting it's real point of impact in the middle of chaotic battle makes it very exhausting.

It's actually a much better gun to use than you think. It is extremely good against both bots and bugs, especially when you aim for the head. Also you don't have to aim down the sights in first person to land shots and shoot enemies that are close to you, the long barrel acts as an indicator for where you're aiming. The rapid fire is good against the backs of Chargers, the Bile Spewers sacks, and the Bile Titan sacks. Don't aim down the scope when using rapid fire, do third person, it is much better that way. I've saved my and my teammates' lives from killing enemies in both close and long range with it

If you shoot the scout striders on the upper part of the leg it's a 1-2 shot, 2 shot to kill the legs 1 shot the splash damage hits the driver

Jep you can destro their joints. But be warned, that leaves the driver ejected but not dead.

2:25 With any kind of ranged weapon you want to hit their rocket launchers. It's a much better target and you usually are able to destroy them before they shoot. This disables them and renders them almost useless. Only then I would go for those headshots. If you know the role right you will be disabling more heavier enemies than actually killing them. You can also shoot of Hulks flamethrowers by shooting the shoulder. With walkers you want to shoot it's "crotch", not through the front shield.

I use AMR against bugs all the time. You're quite right that its very poorly suited to clearing small targets so its wise to have a good primary for this. BUT when you're random pub team is running the usual eats, flamers or w/e I come in with the amr and jetpack and kill near every bile spewer, brood commander, and hive guard before they can reach my teammates. Killing any of these is at best slower with the primaries they have and by removing the targets that often push us out of position things are just more manageable. AC can clear the same enemies easier but no jetpack and that thing can be seriously clutch. Also running AMR against bugs makes using it against the bots actually seem pretty easy.

Shoot the scout striders on the leg joint! It’s an insta kill. Sometimes it’ll kill both the walker and the bot piloting it and sometimes only the walker while the bot drops and now acts as a regular trooper

It's really not that bad against Terminids. It's quite nice for stalkers and brood commanders, and 1 taps bile spewers, all bugs that you don't want to get close to. It can deal with chargers too, but it's a lot easier if you bring an autoshotty for them to be honest. Definitely better against bots by a lot, but far from "bad" against bugs.

High quality video! Just throwing this out there. A clip and a mag are not the same thing and they’re not interchangeable. 95% of the time weapons use mags not clips. The only weapon in this game that uses a clip is the Autocannon. Generally, if you don’t want to learn the difference, just call everything a magazine or mag. You’ll be right more often. 👍

That said, I have been very surprised at the amount of people who've come out of the woodwork to use "clip" instead of "mag" with this game. I thought everyone and their mother was a self-ascribed weapons-guru with the popularity of COD saturating the gaming world... But apparently not. Nearly every youtuber is using "clip" in their video - indiscriminately, I might add. Just something strange I noticed...

It’s about being accurate and using the right noun for the object. It’s like people who know nothing about cars mixing up car terms. I feel like most of these are the wrong way to use this gun. If you're using it to shoot the regular units, you're already using it wrong. The reason why some people say they have no issues with the magazine capacity is because they only use it on the bigger guys. You can shoot it from the hip, like a shotgun. And is very useful for bugs, which is weird cos it's a sniper yet getting close and shooting from the hip is better XD Unless of course you can see the bugs from afar. It shouldn't be used for the big targets. Bile titans, chargers, tanks, cannon turret - just use a strategem. Don't waste your time unless you have no choice. Same for objectives. Just use more powerful weapons unless you have no choice. Remember, you're playing this as a 4 man team. You have a different role and you shouldn't try to cover all bases. Unless, of course, you're running a solo mission in which case, either don't engage, run, or use a strategem to deal with the heavies. You get no bonuses for killing them, focus on the mission! The sway and the recoil are the challenges of this gun for me, I really have to crouch or go prone to pop one target after the other, specially on bots, or they will start launching those rockets at you. I also struggle hitting the weak points on moving enemies. Which means all my issues with it is because of skill XD

It's really good against Bile Spewers and Stalkers in Terminid missions, and so I find it very useful on those kinds of missions, as on higher difficulties Bile Spewers can be a pain to kill and can easily kill you or a teammate if left unchecked. That is, if you headshot the Bile Spewers with the Anti-Material Rifle.

It's actually really good. You just need other things to deal with bile titans/chargers reliably. You can technically kill a charger with the AMR by shooting its butt 8 times or shooting inside its back legs after a charge, but this is very inconsistent. Also other tip, if you have a monitor that can add a aiming reticle on screen, that makes the AMR more tolerable on little bugs cause you can just no scope it.

I main EAT-17, my homie the anti material rifle. I get the chargers, he helps keep the bile spewers off me. Seriously those armored spewers are hard to deal with the punisher (level 1 shotgun that does high damage) and pointless with the breaker. If you have an eat-17 on your back already you can potentially kill 3 chargers by dropping the stratagem on it lol. Not reliable against the flying chargers but eh

Nah trust, even on PC with a mouse, the recoil is a bitch. The kick is visual, not just point of aim, so even when you pull down, you're waiting on the crosshair to return to your true aim point, or taking a blind shot, which is a nightmare when you need to make quick follow-ups. It's equally a pain in the ass on both input methods. With that said, all the same pros you listed in this video hold true. Weapon is quite underrated... Just make sure you aren't walking when you try to line up a shot, or the round is ending up in Narnia.
