I remember the first trap base I kinda fell victim to. Basically a guy living by the road asked me to help him move stuff. I knew he was full of it but I was new to the game and wanted to see his plan. Walked into his base and he quickly opened another door while exiting and closing the entrance. I survived the shotgun trap and was just rummaging through his stuff for a bit before he tossed a few nades in lol.

There was an old Rust youtuber called PepperTheRed who used that same technique for a trap base a long time ago (before he deleted his channel). It's my favorite trick because it works way better than it has any right to.

There is a very funny trapbase i used a while ago (yeah also uses twig). What you do is build on a high cliff and at end you place 2 twig *foundations* in air, while you have a shotgun trap with just enogh ammo to breake the twig. Once greddy players pass the shotgun trap, they fall down the big cliff and die like total noobs and you just loot them :D
