You don't need a check valve to prevent draining, you just need your air intake positioned above the water line. That will prevent any siphoning from happening.

Nice!! Im looking to build a similar setup for crayfish but it's gonna have to be a few sizes up 😂 Gonna use the exyra long 45 gallon tubs instead I already have one full of ammonia going that Im waiting for the nitrigen cycle to take hold in. Probably gonna add 2 or 3 more and then Im gonna have a shelf with a bunch of smaller tanks for holding babies and as general use holding takes and emergency backups. Im also considering getting one of those plastic sets of drawers if I can find one big enough. Then I can add filters and aeration to each level and use the drawers as tubs for the babies. Ill figure it out eventually but this helps quite a bit as far as brainstorming goes. 👍

Inbreeding is not the problem. But if there is a hereditary defect in the DNA, it is reinforced with each generation of inbreeding. First of all, it is a good idea to have a fixed breeding group. All offspring immediately. Keep the breeding stock for life. Then the inbreeding doesn't go that fast either. If the guppies look good, you can replace a dead animal with a beautiful animal from the offspring. If you prefer to buy a new one, it's more difficult. A new animal can bring disease and cause disaster. Therefore, put the new guppies in a separate container. And after six months you use daughters from the quarantine group to supplement your breeding group. (For example, you replace all breeding females) If you want to avoid overcrowding, look at the young guppies with a magnifying glass after two or three weeks. The females have a dark spot on the back of their abdomen, near the base of their tail. Separate them from brothers and nephews at that age. Because young males can fertilize their sisters and nieces within four or five weeks. The female stores the sperm until she is fertile and then she becomes pregnant. But if you separate them in time, a female tank and a male tank, the females will grow longer. They grow bigger and you don't have an overcrowded tank.

The large sponge filters you were showing are both rated for 40gallons not 55-65. Don’t give me the “we designed this” cause we both know you buy from a distributor then resell for profit. Atleast don’t give the wrong information. And on top of that if your air pump can’t supply the air needed that 40gallon rate is highly impacted

You can literally buy them pregnant no they're not😭 literally breed themselves fine unless you let them eat them or something stupid but that's a simple problem with a simple solution if ur guppies won't breed at all than u have bad water conditions or unhealthy fish cause improper care
