This guy is so deep into the hobby... I was in and out of keeping fish since I was a kid many times, but when I started breeding my own lines, I am so hooked that I cant imagine quitting....I will miss my lines, and it is so interesting developing these lines, breeding and selecting them. So yes, so many projects this guy is amazing I just can imagine how great it feels being that deep into something. I wish him all the best with his breeding projects.

It’s amazing that the white color for the Snow White guppies in 8:28 is a combination of several genes! I’m beginning to see the same thing in my guppies. Best of luck with adding the spear tail! Magenta reduces fin size and I’d love to see how those two genes interact and combine together.

Ive wanted some of alan bias's fish for so long. I have some ginga Sulphureus that he came up with but i didnt get them directly from him. Idk why but that blows my mind that an awesome breeder in australia knows of him. I shouldnt be suprised but that is some next level noteriety for a breeder. Im suprised he didnt mention Tanaka when speaking of the ginga rubras. And to bring it around, the rubras are a line that Bias used when making the ginga Sulphureus. This guys awesome and has great taste.

@@aries268 aw you're amazing!❤ But I'm over in the states. The only thing holding me back from more of Mr. Bias's fish is my lack of planning/budgeting and impulsively purchasing whatever exciting fish i happen to see when i have my fish funds instead of remembering to go to him😮💨🙄I'll get myself together though hah. Bias is such a gift to the hobby though, and such a valuable resource with his blog/writings! Such a scientific approach. I do wish I knew where to get more of Tanaka's fish! There's a breeder out here with a pretty good collection, but im always looking for more😅 I recently heard from an aussie breeder in the states that says he knows Tanaka & that he lost a lot of his fish in an earthquake or some other disaster a couple years back and got out of the hobby?!🥺... any idea if this is true? fantastic collection and breeding, one thing that baffled me Neo/cherry shrimps are not difficult at all - so im not sure how you would have trouble when your stripping RO water and re-mineralizing for the CRS etc. Neo are straight tap water de-chlorinated for me and never a issue and yes blue dreams flourish with no feeding or care in my tank. If anything NEO are the easier shrimp to keep.
@aries268 Жыл бұрын
Well the reason is my towns tap water is 100 tds so i have to remineralise up to 250 lol
@calumho6253 Жыл бұрын
@@aries268 oh wow that makes sense, sydneys tap water where i live is pretty high naturally, and ph is kind of through the roof as well which i don't think the cherries mind. Its a pity though cause I would like to see newer strains of cherrie shrimps / neos that break through the current apex ones we have commonly jade , blue dreams , blood red etc. Last i heard someone was doing a line of yellow or orange eyed neos.
