Gurez basks in peace, but infiltration & terror revival in south Kashmir hints storms brewing again TN: Gurez's peace and revival of terror in south Kashmir Des: For centuries, Gurez’s ethnic-Dard communities earned a living by serving trade convoys headed from Srinagar to Gilgit, and on to the grade Silk Road markets of Yarkand and Kashgar. The hamlet of Chorwan, close to the LoC, earned a reputation for being home to skilled guides, who could help the caravans evade medieval rulers’ tax outposts.
Following the war of 1947-1948, the trade ended, but was replaced by low-grade trafficking of liquor, stolen livestock and even cigarettes-the traffickers often doubling as spies for the armies of India and Pakistan. However, Gurez became the main route for militants from Pakistan and Afghanistan to sneak into India and wreak havoc in Jammu and Kashmir. There are still instances of cross LoC infiltrations in J&K's Gurez but peace seems to have finally made its way to the lives of people but the rising terror activities in South Kashmir poses a threat to the town. This time National Conference will overtly change demographics in Jammu with the help of Congress! It’s the mindset. Little bit correction.They also wants Peace actually they are fighting for Peace Untill all non muslims converts to Muslims they don't get so called their Peace.So, concept peace be upon u ( salam walikum) applies to Who converted.First Entire Religions along with non believers Should Define the word Peace?? Later then try to talk about Peace.because Islamic concept peace is different from rest of the world

​@@pmt7483that our children will curse us as we do with Nehru generation. Nehru had a chance of complete population exchange and we failed and partition India for nothing. Same will be say about us, we had a chance in changing Kashmir for good after 370 removal but we didn't did what was need, from giving reservation to minority of Jammu to giving justice to 90s Hindu Ethnic cleansing.
