Again, you people are insulting, perhaps unknowing. Just because you know nothing about India and have started a channel on Indian content. KAMAL HAI ?? Gurgaon = Gurugram . Gao = Gram = a village. It is a 5000years old ancient place. During the Mahabharta times, the Pandvas defeated a much larger army of th Kaurvas. The Pandavas were trained in military warfare by a Guru ( a respected teacher). Guru was Guru Dronacharya. Pandvas offered a village in gratitude to their Guru. ( Gurus are generally above the worldly possessions) .That village was named Guru + gaon. I live in Gurgaon City. That village is still there. Nearby is a very old temple called Sheetla Mata temple. It is named after Guru Dronacharya 's wife. This place is part of India's National Capital Region (NCR). It connected with Delhi Metro. Otherwise, it is part of a separate state called HARYANA. (It was earlier part of Punja). Gurgaon contributes 40% share of total revenue for Gurgaon State.
