DIY Book Clutch
If you love reading and fashion, then welcome to your new favorite Do It, Gurl video! This week, Jamie shows us how to make the cutest book clutch ever, perfect for holding small items when you’re going out and don’t want to tote around a large bag. Yes, books are sacred and should never be destroyed or messed with, but… what about a book that you don’t like? Or a book that is so old and icky that reading it is close to impossible? Or a second copy of something you already have, or a thrift store find that has an amazing cover? Okay, fine, sometimes books should be messed with. Make your own book clutch using your favorite novel so that everyone can learn something about you, or just use any beautiful hardcover option you can find. A book clutch is fun, a little quirky, and a little unique - especially when it’s handmade rather than purchased from a store. Let’s do it!

You could also use just chipboard and then take a the protective cover off a hardback, that way the book is completely intact but you still have the cover design!

well you don`t have to use a book she mention that also you can make it out of something else plus it doesn`t have to be a good book it can be old and rip and the person who looks more stupid its you for not paying attention to what she said on the video.

you can still read it. you're just taking the the hardcover for a better use. you could also go to your local thrift store and get a large hardcover book that you like but find no use with the cover. it would be cheap as well. or just don't use a book at all and use cardboard to trace out the dimensions so you're using the same proportions but not the book cover since that's 'stupid'
