I don't think adding or removing deductible will change your lock the cloack or booster benefit as long as you remain under the same plan. But yes, your premium will change because of change in deductible.

I am as curious as you and many of us are to understand various health insurance policy benefits. Based on my discussion with Niva Bupa Sales team: In the Niva Bupa Aspire policy, any room type can be chosen (refer section 4.1.2). The Room Type Modification clause (refer section 4.1.18) will apply when a rider/add-on benefit will be available in future that will allow you to reduce your premium by agreeing to opt for a lower room category say "Shared Room" or "Single Private Room", at the time of new purchase/renewal of the policy. So, in future, in a given policy year/tenure, if you add this rider and you also make a claim, then a co-payment will be applicable as per the table in section 4.1.18, if you change the room type during your hospitalization with respect to the room type that you had opted for with this rider.

What has to do now ? Because their is divergence in both statements. I am paying premiums and policy is in effect. Is it a serious error ? or I can go to the HDFC Life office and get it corrected ? What should be the approach in this ? Please guide me !!

Mam, Suppose i take this policy with all addons and in future when married and when adding my wife,then will my premium will change to the price according to the age at which i am married .. ?? Lock the clock benefit will break up and again start as fresh ???

"According to the policy wordings of Niva Bupa Reassure 2.0, ""If you add a member to an individual plan and convert it into a Floater plan, then the premiums will be charged as per the entry age of the eldest member and will lock the premium at that age, till a claim is paid."" So if you add your wife later and she is younger than you, premium will be charged according to your original age at entry but you will have to pay premium for your wife as well until you make your first claim. If your wife is elder than you, premium for both of you will be charged according to her age at entry from that year onwards and remain same until you make your first claim in the policy."

@@sharonraj7059 No, premium is usually charged by stand-alone health insurance companies based on the age of only eldest member. So in a family floater plan, premium for both members will be charged based on who is elder, you or your wife.
