Pizard's stuff is really good. Dr. Luke Campbell, the guy who created the blog, builds lasers IRL as his day job (when he isn't trying to teach his army of laser equip iguanas how to take over the world) so his rules are very, very realistic and scientifically accurate. In fact I owe a lot my current knowledge of energy weapons to some of correspondents with him. He's also been working on his own RPG IP called The Verge which you can check out here: panoptesv.com/RPGs/Settings/VergeWorlds/TheVerge.php Also I miss Hardmath's stuff, he did a good job covering the more odd ball Ultra-Tech energy weapons that I wasn't really interested in tackling (outside of plasma guns and a few others options I tend not to stray to far off of realistic tech). I do plan on doing more EM weapons in the future, I'm just trying to figure out a good way to differentiate rail from Gauss weapons. Ultra-Tech say that rail guns are lighter with lower ROF then Gauss but the actually stats show no different. Now this this difference is realistic, the problem is the real world reason for this is fiddly and would force you track barrel life. Oh and since you brought up the payload rifle, when I get a chance to finish my current blog post I've been working on, covering what it is IRL and fixing some oddness with it and the 25mm "Assault Cannon" (spoilers, both the payload rifle and "assault cannon" are in actuality grenade launchers). Gyrocs technically have a velocity of 650 yards/sec but GURPS tends to treat unguided rockets like bullets and ignores time of flight with them. They should also do more damage (9d-1 pi++) then they're listed as doing, the 6d damage is a hold over from how Transhuman Space stated them (which in turn is based on 3ed Vehicles missile design system. I do plan on doing a complete overhaul on them which makes them more compatible with the missiles listed in Ultra-Tech as well as doing a missile design system (which sill fix some of the errors with the 100mm missile, it should only be 8 lbs for example with a 25 lbs version having a much greater range).
