GURUDONGMAR LAKE | NORTH SIKKIM WINTER RIDE 2020 | EPISODE 2 | MISSING GEARS

Gurudongmar Lake, in North Sikkim, is one of the highest lakes in the world and in India, located at an altitude of 5,430 m (17,800 ft), in the Indian state of Sikkim. It is considered sacred by Buddhists, Sikhs and Hindus.[2] The lake is named after Guru Padmasambhava-also known as Guru Rinpoche-founder of Tibetan Buddhism, who visited in the 8th century.
In our north sikkim winter ride 2020 we visited gurudongmar lake after lockdown for the first time. This was our day 2 and the journey was filled up with twists and fun.

On 4th Nov 2020 me and my friends visited the lake on our bike . while going up the weather was good suddenly while returning it snowed heavily . visibility was very low it scared me to death as the road was rarely visible covered with a blanket of snow .I remember one of the soldier saying ' burae tara sae fasgayae aaplog'..it still scares me when I think of it. Never the less thanks to our army posted at gaigaon for saving us..#truely a life time experience.
