Guruguru Eigakan was an AnguraKei band formed in 1995 by Amano Tombimaru and Yoshikawa Masatoshi. They were known for their traditional Japanese influenced music, and their white makeup combined with early 1900's Japanese uniforms. In 2003, all members minus Amano left, and this caused a change in direction for the band. Previously, the lead role was quite uncertain, as all members shared vocals, and Yoshikawa being the one in the center. After the departure of Yoshikawa and the other members, the band became more Amano based, as he moved to the center of attention, and provided more vocal roles. This song is from their first lineup.
They eventually broke up in 2012, due to Amano's health issues. Eventually, he died in 2013 due to complications. The other members formed a session band playing Guruguru songs, known as "The Tissue", but paused activities.
Currently, Yoshikawa is in Taiheiyou Belt, which still has a strong following. Gokimi, their last bassist, had a band called GalapagosS, which he still is a member of. He is also in Tokyo Heroes, which is currently on hiatus. Guitarist Shin Numakura is now in "The Thinners", along with ex Sex Android vocalist and bassist Yu-Dai and Junro.
Despite nowadays being relatively unknown in the VisualKei scene, Guruguru Eigakan held a pretty stable influence on VisualKei. Their influence can be seen in DEZERT, GossiP, The GazettE (their Matina stuff), and Kalavinka
