Kinda true but ur talking about a top 500 player in plat easily carrying himself out. It’s a lot easier to hard carry urself up to a decent rank when u can single handed stomp games versus someone who should be in diamond and stuck in gold or something. I’m high diamond on my account, and when I play on my bro’s account I often go on like 5 game lose streaks despite having 2x their tanks damage. It’s truly luck of the draw UNLESS ur insane and can surmount the horrendous deadweight that many teams are. AKA a GM player or whatever.

All the anti-smurf detection was pushed from placements to QP MMR. Whatever rank you enter comp with is going to take a standard grind to get out of. It's kind of dumb because people that want to smurf will throw in QP for low MMR or buy low mmr accounts, and now can smurf in lower ranks far longer.

@@williammadisondavis I mean fresh account of mine got GM3 in 15 wins with me being a mid-masters player in Overwatch 1 who never really even played the game nor wanted to improve at all. Same with my main, & all my other accounts. They eventually get GM without me even trying. OW2 isn't hard to rank up. They practically hand shit out these days.. so if you're hardstuck - just play more and you'll be handed a freebie GM rank that means nothing.

@@maneaterwhat ur2gm have you watched? Every one I’ve watched points out the mistakes and how to punish them. Yes they have better mechanics but everything they say about fundamentals, cooldown use, when to engage or disengage, how to spot out of position targets can be applied by anyone. Sure you may not be quite as effective if your aim isn’t quite as good, but you will be more effective than if you didn’t apply the principles they apply. Anyway, realistically the only thing having worse mechanics does is increase your ttk by half a second or so, and it can easily be fixed by practice if you genuinely want to improve.
