1 hour in and so far i learned that sigma is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY harder if you have low elo teammates who dont know how to play in the highground around the objective. this dude has insane mechanics and was having a harder time than he was supposed to due to his teammates making him play suboptimal

This MMR paradox where you are in top 500 lobbies as a plat is a serious problem. I have run into it myself, where I went on a massive winstreak after doomfist got buffed and even though I'm ranked Plat 2, I play against exclusively diamond and masters players, with the occasional top 500 players. And even though I maintain roughly a 70 percent winrate, I'm only ranking up 1 rank at a time usually.

I learned 5 lessons: 1 the shield is most effective when the enemy is in range of your balls. 2 don’t try to block all dmg with your shield and the shield should be used selfishly but occasionally for your teammates 3 try to ignore tank (especially orisa) and go for the squishies to annoy them bc sometimes even doing minor splash dmg can pressure them out of position 4 it’s easier to land hits when you take it slow and aim at the ground to let the balls bounce back up or do splash dmg 5 there’s nothing wrong with solo utling
