For something so retro, I'm actually impressed by the freshness of the modern/nostalgia feeling. Sure this screams 80s in a way, but it is done with a current take, which to me is why it is even more unique and 2020's all the way. The playing is just out of this world, melodic and loaded with feel.

It has an 80's vibe bcs of the synth, but Vai may be innovating playing 2 guitars or guitar and bass at the same time, but that doesn't make his song writing any good. Not a fan of Vai, I prefer solos to actually match the rhythm of the song instead of just display technique.
