I had to build a 2 block high fence and lined it with torches just so these dumbasses would stop escaping and dying (their golem died and for some reasonthey wouldn'tclose their doors?), made a golem, then another spawned from the NEET and shepard having like 7 kids in one night. AND NEITHER GOLEMS ARE ATTACKING THE MOBS???? so ive been having to go and protect this place the only thing im guilty of is the murder of many a bee and llama (I need leads and keep forgetting you cant break the beehives)

It's something I'd like to see about it. Villagers don't react when you kill their golem at all, and there's not much villagers do other than stand by their job blocks related to their work, with the exception of farmers. It'd make the world so much more alive.

​@calebadam2576 In Java Edition you do actually gain a bad reputation with Villagers if you kill an Iron Golem, each village has an invisible reputation number, and if a Villager witnesses you for example Killing a Villager or an Iron Golen, you will receive negative reputation. Reputation represents if the Iron Golems attack you or not and Village Prices. Vice versa you will receive discounts from having a good reputation with villagers, by trading, defeating raids and building iron golems. So when I went to get the link it did say that the reputation mechanic has been removed since 1.14 which sucks.

Follow up to my Follow up, turns out after reading more into it, Java Uses a Reputation per Villager instead of Per Village so which makes since, while Bedrock Edition uses the full Village Reputation system.

@CaltheDeadMan thanks for the followup! I was aware of the reputation system and i like it. Feels like a step in the right direction for making vilagers feel more alive, but i want more. I want the smiths to repair golems, maybe have farmers in snowy biomes make and repair snow golems, maybe have shepherds tame wolves (and maybe have dogs exhibit herding behavior) and farmers tame cats to protect their grain), maybe have preists do something to ward away undead mobs (maybe blessing "dwellings" to protect them marginally from being broken into?) Etc. Ultimately, i really want villagers to be best utilized by letting them be a village and not how they currently are where they feel like particularly annoying livestock...

@davidthomas2870 I do agree that much more can be done for Villagers to feel more alive. (Me still wanting a Villager Force similar to the Illager Faction.) And yes Villages doing more things related to there jobs would be really cool, like butchers picking up meat and having it like the farmers inventory. I want Villages to be hubs for players not a footnote. We need more villager updates.

As a 2011 Minecraft kid, watching this reminds me of Dillongoo's animations "Gods don't bleed" and "Gods don't die". I wish you could make this into a full series where this Golem finds that player with another player and the player he's allied with helps rebuild everything with some villagers that survived the raid.
