Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

@@WithoutRemorse12 He might believe that. But I am pretty confident that Gus also loves being a criminal and that he enjoys being in that world with that kind of power and all. You can see that when Gus threatens Walts family - I will kill your infant daughter! Gus also had no issues with using children to sell his product. And it is very likely that Gus was at some point involved in some kind of war crimes or the military in his home country. So yeah. He enjoys being a criminal.

It's a good reminder that you've got a heart when you let yourself feel for someone who definitely doesn't deserve it. That's not to say that all people actually deserve empathy, but it's more about you than them. It's letting yourself understand why they are the way they are rather than condoning it. That's a mark of a good heart.

The looks he gets that last couple of seconds when he slides the glass outta frame: Heart broken, understanding that this is the sacrifice he has to make to continue to be what he is trying to be. He can never show himself to anyone, never be weak or vulnerable. He can never be happy. He can only ever be Gustavo Fring

I’ll never get over how many scenes Giancarlo Esposito conveys so much about Gus’s character without saying a single word. From the box cutter, to poisoning the cartel, to him getting his face blown off, and this. What an incredible actor.

Once Gus tasted that last sip of "bloody" tasting wine he knew he still had work to do, I almost feel bad for him, it'd be nice if he could just enjoy his life but his desire for revenge is too strong, but to be fair to him very few people could get over what he went through.
