Only a year late, but I double PB the sandwich. You put a thin layer of PB on both sides with the knife, then you use a spoon to scoop on the jelly and spread with the knife. Lick both clean. If you pack it away for a bag lunch, your bread doesn't get soggy and sticky from the jelly.

The reason behind doing pb on both sides is the jelly doesn't soak into the bread. Also you put a very thin layer on one side, and a normal amount on the other, so you end up with about the same amount of pb
