Unfortunately, there's no video of my favorite... it was identical to the one they showed here where Phil hits it backwards. In this video, which I'm pretty sure was the tournament in Colorado that used the Modified Stableford Scoring, Phil didn't get back on the green. But there was a shot, in a real event where Phil nearly holed the same shot, going backwards on a off-canter lie. I've seen film of it but not in the past 20 years so I don't think the Tour or Networks have it.

The back-to-back hospitality deck shots is peak Phil Mickelson. The fact he was able to put BACKSPIN off the carpet is crazy. (Two other crazy moments not in this: In the 2003 Masters he took an unplayable on #2, used driver from way off the fairway, somehow hit the green and made a birdie putt across the entire green. And I don't remember which game it was, but he chipped in during a hailstorm, when everyone else was running for cover.)

DodderingOldMan Phil doesn’t get enough respect as EASILY a top 5 player of all time. If he played in any other generation of golf, he would have won double the tournaments. Phil wore that label of best golfer without a major for a long time, but he never let it change him or make him bend to the pressure. He kept playing his way and he ended up with the trophy case full of majors and multiple green jackets Norman was always a very aggressive golfer too week to week, but then majors would come and he’d tighten up and play differently because it was a major. That’s why he only got two and choked so many times at Augusta. You cant try to change who you are just because of the tournament you’re in.
