At first, the Belgian fans disliked this song massively. They thought the songs of Cherine and Gala Gadot were much better. So, negative vibes at first. As a Dutchman, I liked the song from the very first time I heard it. I really hope it gets through to the finals, and considering the opposition in semifinal 2, it should qualify. And I also hope the Belgians will finally show their love and support for this song.

I'm not Belgian but live there. I am disappointed with the song as Belgium in the past few years has been incredible, for example with Loic Noittet (Rhythm Inside) and Blanche (City Lights). It switches each year between the Flemish speaking TV broadcaster choosing the song and the Walloon TV choosing it. Can't remember which one it was this year but I think Flemish (other Belgians can correct me if I'm wrong - anyway, I think it's the same broadcaster as chose Loic and Blanche) So, I think we have high hopes because there is such potential for Belgium to consistently send amazing top 10 or top 5 entries. But then staging tends to let it down, and it often lacks that killer punch to wow the crowds. In Belgium, the music scene is varied and incredible, and I love that they are trying something new here. Personally I like the song, but I'm disappointed because I fear it won't even qualify for the final, which would be a shame for Belgium after the recent successes. They need to collectively come up with a way to improve staging, get those killer songs and then Belgium for the win soon. The potential and groundwork is all there.
