Thank you, Herr Dünnebach, for posting this elegant Mahler arrangement. Gustav Mahler now stands shoulder to shoulder with Herr Bach, in my humble opinion. He was such an incredible talent and genius in the finest sense of the word. I was aware of this arrangement from the short years Mahler spent in New York; albeit, I'd never heard it until last evening. Gorgeous! Blessings, Cate

Thank you for this! Hoping to hear this in concert this coming Thursday, with Mahler's 6th following. I do wonder what Bach would do in arranging Mahler's music. Symphony of a Thousand Harsichords? Thanks again!

It sounds like a Karajan attempt to use a large orchestra to play pieces of Bach. Personally I prefer the "Original" Period performances. To me they are like having an old masterpeice painting cleaned. I hear much more and with Bach, I understand so much more.
