Fantastic at the zenith! yeah, I'm sorry this is the very first time to hear G.Mahler. Maestro Chung is splendid,splendid, I would love and appreciate not only his baton, but also Teatro La Fenice Orchestra articulation, I mean rhythm, phrasing and sound are veryvery beautiful and exiting. One of the many pleasures of his performances is to watch Maestro Chung conduct. It is a pity the cameraman in charge wasn't aware of this. Nothing is gained by seeing Chung's back and a great deal is lost.

The videographing should not left to an amateur deficient in music appreciation - the joy of viewing a classical performance is watching the conductor react and guide the musicians through each movement and the virtuosity of each instrument - here we were 'treated' to 88 minutes of a faceless robotic cutout of the conductor - and further frustrated at the absence of it during the climax - the creme de la creme of this monumental Mahler work - very disappointed

A bit fast on the tempo of the final bars and the chorus seemed smaller than I have usually seen...Nevertheless, this remains one of the human races greatest artistic creations and something I hope an alien race will judge us by!
