This. I used to be a manager and any time I saw a resume that listed their pronouns, especially they/them/zim/zer etc, that resume went straight in the trash. If you hire these clowns, expect them to get in a fight with every single customer that mistakenly “misgenders” them or “gives them a bad vibe.” Just throw the resume away, don’t even bother reaching out to say you went in a different direction/they were rejected because that will just set you up for a lawsuit/getting canceled. Best to forget they exist altogether

A young woman got hired by my company, immediately demanded everyone call her “Majesty”. I would have said, “there’s the front door, you’re unhired”. But nope, they called her majesty, got her name badges printed with majesty on them. She was reported many times by the night time manager that she often couldn’t be found doing her work. She ended up being one of the laziest employees we had. Did they fire her? No. She ended up quitting instead. These woke managers/companies are getting what they deserve but it’s the regular employees that end up covering for these jerks lack of work ethic.

Got an email from my son's teacher and "she" had pronouns listed after "her" name...instantly did not give a single crap what the email said. My company the other day put a slide in a staff meeting that showed all the different EDI groups that were formed encouraging us to join these groups. I chuckled to myself saying that no thanks i'll just be a part of the "I work here for a paycheck" group not turn our company woke group to appease 1% of the company's demographics. As someone who has the responsibility of hiring people, it has ALWAYS been my priority to hire someone who enhances the current team to make it better. NOT to hire someone who fills the void. Something that is getting harder and harder these days. The first requirement is keeping the team a cohesive unit and I would never bring someone into that unit that would break that cohesiveness, NO MATTER HOW QUALIFIED OR DESPERATE I am to fill the spot. Here is what happens when an employer is getting the applications. First thing they do is turn the application over and start from the back. For this job you need to work certain hours, do simple math in your head. There are 100 applications. The first 50 didn't even pass the 4th grade math test. In the trash they go. The next 25 cannot work the hours that are needed, in the trash they go. This goes on till you reach the front of the applications where you will finally learn their name. By this time out of the 100, you have picked the best 5 that you will call back.

Something that seems to get overlooked is not only can an "HR event" get a company sued, but it can also result in the loss of talented employees. I am fantastic at my job. But I will occasionally misname my coworkers. Like walk over to Aaron and say "Hey Julie can I get your help real quick?" Nobody takes offense to this. We just establish what is needed (did I actually need Aaron or Julie), I'll apologize for the slip, and we move on. But we all know it's going to happen again. My brain just does this thing when I'm in the work zone and have to interrupt the process. If I worked with any non-traditional gender type I'd probably be fired for these types of slips.

That is a really really good point. You can't ask employees about politics or their opinions on unions, if they're likely to get pregnant etc. But you can ask their gender, if they're non binary they're definitely left of center, and all the baggage that comes with that. What other questions could disqualify job seekers, are you for inclusivity and diversity at the work place? If they answer yes, they're definitely left of center. And there's no way a leftist would ever catch on to these things, they think it's a good thing so of course they'll check it. You don't want leftists in your company, they'll subvert and change the company with every single action they take. And statistically they're more likely to lie if the truth makes them look bad. Which is often the case since they're lazy and entitled. That is why they often work in the government or braindead service jobs, nobody would ever pay them for competence. HR is a nightmare overseer. The job it does should be restricted to the basics of keeping records on things such as employee hires/fires, salaries/hours, allowed vacation/other time off. You are being hired for your ability to do a particular job. The company has absolutely NO right to ask anything more of you because they don't have your permission to or pay you for it. I learned long ago to interview the person interviewing me as much as they were interviewing me.

I still say that this whole thing about giving people - complete strangers - your laundry list of "preferred pronouns, sexual preferences and gender identity" is just a way for this person to control the conversation at least to a small degree. But it also gives the person an "out". For example, now that EVERY one in the workplace is aware of their "preferred" whatevers, it becomes the only reason for anything that they encounter. So now "X" isn't being fired because they were inept or just lazy - now "X" is fired because of their pronouns, their sexual preferences or their gender identity. And yes, we've had a lot of "transgender" people who would run away in tears because some customer would see their five-o'clock shadow, their height of around 6 feet or more, their broad shoulders and mistake them for men. It never should've been allowed to become a part of the "introduction" conversation. Let employers hire based on merit, experience and potential and let your co-workers become friends with you (or not) on your merits, your attitude, behaviors and how well you work. This crap has to end simply because it's unsustainable for EVERY one. If you're on some kind of "finding" yourself journey - I'm happy for you wanting to know and love yourself better. Just don't force me to take that journey with you because some journeys are meant to be solo. When you're being tested in a crucible you don't take a fire extinguisher.

HR has become the new 'safety officer'. All I ever had to do to get a new hire or increase in budget was say, 'It's a safety issue'. Noone dared question me because I could delay or shut down any job at any time. HR now seems to have that power and for issues that are less clear than ever.

Hershey's has already backpedalled and scrubbed this ad campaign from their Facebook page due to the enormous backlash from the candy bar eating public. People do vote with their dollars. Candy companies should stay out of politics and do what they do best, sell candy.

It's almost as bad as neck skull tattoos and face piercings, etc. Okay for jobs not involving contact with customers, back field and ditch labor on daily contracts. Never hire them cold. Just wasting the price of a drug test when it should be a complete psychological evalution. So much easier to hire a more qualified person with common sense and basic social skills and doesn't confuse or offend (the public) customers.

Recently work implemented a new staffing software program. Whilst learning about the program, I wrote 'Apache/Helicopter' in the section for pronouns, just because I could lol!. Apparently management had "a meeting" because of this. The last I heard, they let it slide because they were too worried about the legal ramifications to them, if it turned out I did think I was a helicopter. I'm seriously thinking about walking around the office making "wop, wop wop" sounds just for the hell of it!!.

I had applied to work at target about 5 yrs ago. On the app it said Pronouns with choices. I didnt know what that meant so i chose they them thinking its more inclusive of others. I had no idea it was asking me what MY pronouns were! LMAO I worked there for peak only. Guess THEY THEM was the wrong choice.

A pronoun is a word used to refer to something or someone in the absence of more individualized information. If someone has to ask or be told your pronouns, then you have just defeated the purpose of pronouns in a silly academic exercise.

Living on Montana I don't have to put up with this crap too often. But when I am confronted with it, I generally snort, laugh or say something designed to dismiss the individual, turn on my heal and walk away. If i were hiring and got a resume with pronouns, even if it was he/him, I would automatically file 13 it.
