Man, great episode by two of the nicest most knowledgeable guys in Nashville. I know the quarantine is a drag, but keep your guard up. I spent six days on a ventilator fighting covid, a fight I nearly lost. So, stay safe and look forward to more videos

Zac I just wanted to tell you what a pleasure it is to meet these musicians and others in the music industry on Truetone Lounge. I’m a music lover from childhood but was not really around that culture. The lounge and your channel provide people like me and others like me a connection to the thing that we love most, music and the people and personalities that are part of it... Thanks so much!

Guthrie is great, I have learned a lot from his videos and have transformed from scale playing to chord playing and feel like I am getting closer to where I want to be. Need to get a lesson someday.

Love this man. Guthrie has the gift of transference. Nobody teaches the fundamentals quicker; he just makes perfect sense. Bukovac next guest? Thanks for what you do. Sanity for this noisy world.

Truetone -an interview-There’s a difference when someone asks a question vs the “lessons” format. Was watching an old letterman clip with Waylon and Johnny.....so good -and that triggered Rick Wakeman video. Now, he has some stories-I think I watched an interview with you once.....I think that’s how I came upon your channel. different than these KZbin channels-guy and guitar-mostly with clicking next. Bukovac is coming out of his shell as his channel evolves. I just love stories. Guthrie was great. Closest things to having friends for I don’t get out much due to illness so I really appreciate what you and other guitarists do. Very small town so finding someone to play with is rare. At 50 now, I’m surrounded by instruments and amps that keep me company. I absolutely love the music, the artists and the instruments that makes them. Nothing on the boob tube that scratches this itch. With all the downsides of what technology has done to us, it’s great to see a bit of the upside.Thank you

Gotta love Guthrie. I think he's a GREAT teacher also. Btw, I love Jazz III picks, including the EJ one hehe.

I’ve always liked the Dunlop “Tortex” picks. They’re a slightly different shape, and they’re slightly “grippy” in your hand. They also don’t wear as fast with .10 string sets. Some people hate those as well.

I like the pick talk. If y'all wanna check out a good halfway pick between a standard flatpick and a jazz style pick check out tortex flex jazz iii xl. comes in all thicknesses

Guthrie is THE MAN!
@westonhogan16724 жыл бұрын
I don't like the old nylon jazz iii either, but I love the tortex jazz iii. The size and the point just makes lead playing so much better for me. Thinner flexible picks are better for strumming (especially acoustic) but for electric lead, I've tried every pick on the market, and my favorites are thicker tortex jazz iii picks, about 1 mil or a bit thicker.

When talking about picks he mentioned Eric's right hand technique. I'm facinated by Keith Urban's right hand. Especially when he plays a solo acoustic gig. When it comes to finger picking Rodney Crowell's right hand is like a clock. No need for a drummer with that hand!
