My favorite singer of all time is Ray Charles. I thought I'd look for someone singing decent covers of his songs. I passed up people doing the "usual" stuff. And then I saw your video. It peaked my curiosity because this song is quintessential Ray. And I have to say, you IMMEDIATELY caught my attention. I've even played this track alongside the original. I haven't listened to EVERY Hard Times cover on KZbin yet. But so far yours is definitely the best. Keep up the great work!

Excellent, well done fella. I really like this in the way you built up the emotion during the song and great playing - intersting without being flashy. For me, just needs a touch more gravel and rasp as this is what Ray gave it. Eric Clapton who later covered this, smoked 20 cigarettes a day and drank bourbon to roughen up his voice as a (late) teenager :). Now that's dedication. Peace.
