As a firefighter, women are not cut out for the job. Some women can do it but they have to pass the physical test and we've only had 3 females pass at my dept in the past 20 years. The job requires lots of heavy lifting and manual labor all while wearing heavy gear and limited breathing through a respirator. Not to mention lifting Bertha off the floor at 3 A.M. because she had to go to the bathroom.

I spent 30 years as a Firefighter in a busy city. My experience is if anyone is hired for any other reason than an ability to confront serious emergencies it will reveal itself very quickly. And it did time and again. Fires don’t care who shows up they just want to destroy everything in its path
