@pradeepsagwal Your tour plan is very good but I would suggest you that road traffic and road condition will bother you while coming via Chhapra. I think you should go to Buxar via Patna Muzzaffarpur and then from Arariya you should go to Guwahati via Purnima Siliguri. Well, think better as you like but definitely go to Meghalaya. Wimium or barapani lake was artificially created by damming the Umiam River probably in the early 1960s to produce electricity and for storage of water when Shillong was the capital of Assam.

Dear Sir, I have been planning a road trip to Shillong from Agartala. and I need a few answers. Will it be safe to take your own car? is it safe for women drivers? also, I heard parking is a big issue there, is it true? if it is true, when is the city least congested? please help.

Thanks for the question. One of our snext team member have done road journey from Agartala to Shillong so the was good that time, It was few years ago. Driving in Meghalaya needs a bit of expertise for the hilly roads. Safety is not an issue but traffic is. Shillong city markets are quite congested. You can plan to stay in upper Shillong that is less congested and the view also will be better. All the best for your journey.
