This is a spar, not a fight, Fights do happen this way, they are way more violent and each attack is throw with bad intentions. Also a lot of grappling takes place.

You are absolutely right! I practiced Kyokushin for about 17 years and this was one of my pet peeves: holding hands down. A habit as dumb as "hands down" in taekwondo. In a street fight it wouldn't be tolerated. But... the sport version warps the "martial" side of the martial art.

This is just standard kyokushin. No face punching, so keep the guard low to defend the body shots. This isn't a good idea in a real fight, but by Kyokushin standards this is acceptable.

No black belts here, the leg kicks are thrown from too close of a distance, and the leg kicks lack power as well, no chopping into the leg and through it, weird.

That's just what Kyokushin tends to look like lol. They prefer a rather strange style of kicking that basically involves going chest to chest because there are no head punches, and use an odd hybrid of snapping kick and going through. Not saying this is optimal for real fighting, but this is just what Kyokushin Karate is.

Kickboxing comes from full contact or semi contact point fighters who focused on the fighting techniques or Muay Thai techniques. That’s why they look similar.

Kyokushin is where you basically learn to tank body shots and pray you don't get hit in the face. You're better off taking up Muay Thai.
