Robbie was a very good front man for Guy's songs, but without Guy, he lacks adventure. Guy without Robbie sparkles like a dewy spring garden. His work with other artists makes them *all* sound better. And now he gets a long-overdue chance to shine under his own name. Really eager to hear the album when it comes out next month. And yes, please, PLEASE re-release Lemon Trees' "Open Book" which is a forgotten psychedelic power-pop gem, and maybe release the second album, finally?

The songs are co-written with Robbie. The melodies have always been Robbie's and he sings over the top of them. The lyrics are often co-written too!

@@yvonnesvideos8615 that's true. Robbie clearly had a hand in the lyrics and melody, and is much more than merely an "interpreter". They work so well together. IIRC the packaging for "I've been expecting you" includes a dedication along the lines of "To Guy Chambers who is as much Robbie Williams as I am" (excuse my paraphrase).
