Dude I caved and ordered 6lbs of Botswali agates from The Gem Shop, and thank you for the discount code! I’m going to give some as Christmas presents to the sweet rockhound club folks that have been so kind, and hope they get some bangers!

Tie a thick string around your wrist and tie the other end through the handle on the basket. Then you don't worry about it floating away, it can only go as long as the string... 15ft, 4ft, whatever you make it. Easy to get it back, just pull in the string. And you have more relaxation in getting the rocks as you don't have to keep track of how far off the basket is drifting. 😍

This is my second time watching this upload. Gee I wish I knew where to find agates in Texas. I do spend 99% of my life these days at lakes in Texas, and I find a lot of quartz and jasper along the waterline at some these lakes, but so far nothing with the pretty figure in them like you find up there.

Are you planning on making any videos with the vibra lap? Be careful with agates that have geode or druzy pockets. The quartz crystals can break loose during finish polishing and reek havoc on the polished faces. Calcite crystals won't really do anything because the agates are usually around a 6.5-7 on the moh's. Whereas, the calcite is only a 3.

Taylor, gift the golf balls back to your father-in-law so he can use them for practice again. Then each time you find them while looking for agates, jasper, and other goodies, determine whether to throw the golf balls in the trash or give them to him again. You could use a sharpie to put a scared face on them with fine line stitch marks on the scars from his golf clubs. Or if your wife or kids are crafty they could do it. That way you could stick to finding 'the good stuff.
