I used to work at a child prison. They call it a “youth center” but there’s no doubt it’s a child prison. They are in cells. And we had the “worst” kids with contracts from a few different cities. Lots of murderers in there, but some of them not so bad. Some of those kids would show me their songs by playing the beat like this on tables, rapping verses and singing the choruses. it was amazing stuff. I’m a musician and songwriter myself and these kids were young af. If you make music you’ll do it one way or another I guess ya know?
