A lot of so-called Blues fans don't have the mental capacity to understand how great Guy King really is. He is multi-talented, great vocal range, fantastic personality and stage presence. He has a lot of other stylistic influences outside of the Blues genre and is a fantastic live performer and musician. Unlike so many players he is not given to long drawn out self-gratification when he takes a solo and perpetual fretboard acrobatics. He is a classic minimalist who understands phrasing and doesn't overplay every single bar of every damned song. Don't be fooled when he wants to turn loose he can certainly COOK and is able to hang with just about any A class guitarist out there. Everybody forgets that the Legends like B.B, Albert King, Freddie King, T-Bone and the rest were very moderate and knew the economy of balancing the Music and the extended solo's were a product of 60's Rock players like Clapton and Hendrix.

I think he's fantastic and would love the opportunity to sit in with that cat

Yes ... stage prescence is an important part of musicianship ... he can captivate the audience really well. Guy King is a cut above a lot of others, and an example of how he harmonises his vocals with guitar notes at 6:32 ... That's Guy's style ... very few musos do that. Guy is a master of that harmonisation.

Only guy from this generation deserves name with those legends is Guy king. It’s his humble nature that he doesn’t try to show off much especially when he plays with other guitarists. I’ve been following him for few years now. Man this guys is something Else.

I say he's more of a Soul-Jazz-Blues player in comparison. That ending coda solo he did at the end was very George Benson-influenced.

Natasha, I'm really thankful and so is the blues community for all the work you've been doing! I knew Kirk and Josh from your videos when I was still living in Brazil. Thanks for keeping the blues "LIVE" and alive!

I stumbled upon you < a week ago (a Quist intro of all places.) Thank YOU for giving me faith there actually will be a new generation of players worthy of capture by Natasha's lense. I can rest easier now, knowing the future of blues is just a bit more secure. Keep keeping it real bro; it isn't everyone Guy King bestows turn-around and ending chording secrets & sequences.
