When ever I’d get into the car with my Grandfather and Grandmother,they’d have on AM740 from Oakville. Guy Lombardo, Glen Miller, Sinatra..... so many great singers and swing brass bands. They taught me an appreciation of a kind of music I never grew up with. I still miss them, but hearing this takes me back to those times with them on those long drives ❤️❤️❤️❤️

When I was a young boy back in the 50's, my parents used to take me to see Guy Lombardo and his Royal Canadians at The Jones Beach Marine Theater in Long Island. I next saw them at the Waldorf Astoria for their New Years Eve Show in 1977, the year after Guy passed away. Many of the old gang had retired, but Kenny Gardner came out of retirement to perform . It was a great thrill to see them.......what a magnificent orchestra .
