For a nomadic regiment I think it make sense that uniform looks wouldn't have any value in such a group. In this case she chose to tie them together with their theme rather than their color which is dope.

@@DanaHowl I feel like the colors still all match up across the whole army. If anything maybe the brassy colored heavy gunners could benefit from a bit more bluish tones on their underbellies, but the whole force has a lovely blue and orange palette that looks very visually striking when they are all together on the table. The bases in particular really sell the cohesiveness of the two-tone scheme. It feels grimdark. It feels like something Guy would paint. But it also has that distinct two-tone aesthetic I've come to appreciate from you.

Using Street Sharks as a reference for your color schemes is the best thing ever! Because the famous brown shark is the best shark. That red mark on the helmet was so cool, I love when there's a difference between units of an army so elegant as that one.

I love to see the crossover between the different mini painting/40k channels and how you all support each other and have fun. You all are such a huge boon to my mental health in these trying times; and I am sure a lot of other folks feel the same way. I've never played 40k or painted a single mini, but I find myself often watching so many of the channels because everyone's so positive and do SUCH good work! I love this take on a Space Marine chapter. The small idea of separating them into "Packs" makes it really feel more like a monster hunting group, since they can all split up onto other monsters. I like how you made their emblems all unique to the marines themselves rather then carbon copies of each other too. Excellent work here, I also agree 'Space Sharks' Sounds way better of a name then 'Carcharodons'.

I love how the white highlights also kind of look like salty corrosion and build up. As of they're suits were made from shipwreck steel and their salty boots and joints would crunch as they walked

I am really new to warhammer 40k, i've been painting ultramarines and thanks to years of makeup and being an art student it wasn't super intimidating at first (even with anxiety tremors lol) but now I find even with "box standard" painted minis I want to push them further and make them look less default looking. What is a good way to figure out what paints I'd like without splashing out on 20 plus pots that might not be what i need and what are good resources to learn more advanced painting. I love the concept of every squad being a different shark but I can't help say I still love the official Carcharodon scheme. The scrimshaw markings are so much fun to freehand and look so great. Still, this other approach is very Dana, very awesome and a great way to incorporate how colorful the original rogue trader era Space Sharks were in a more modern style.

Really like both the overall colors and the squad/rank diferentiation. The bike kitbashing in particular I love. Im not a massive fan of their base design, but those jaw and tail bits transform them in to something really cool and makes the otherwise awkward low and thick profile work.

I approve of your choise to paint combat squads (5/10 man units) in light variations. Each squad in 40k is usually named after a veteran hero of a space marine chapter. Painting power armor or certain parts intonthe collour of the fallen hero's heraldry if he had this is a common mark of faith and respect. The codex approves this action
