Brilliant.... I am now 50yrs of age and when I got my first job after leaving School I was an Electrical Engineer... The Boss of the Small company was called Mr Anderson. He was an active engineer on Vulcan Bomber tours of duty. He loved the aircraft.

The thing that amazes me is the vast knowledge Guy has on anything with an engine be it 2 wheels, 4 wheels or even wings! Thatd what a true enthusiast is!

Such a shame XH558 had to be retired.We don,t live far from Bruntingthorpe airfield & watched her being recommisioned in 2008 then became "friends" of the aircraft.There is a Vulcan at Wellesbourne airfield in taxi order that Guy has also had experience of.I think they eased off just before "rotate" mode.There is a video still,I think, of the Victor bomber actually taking off by accidentat Bruntingthorpe;we saw it on the ground some time after that! Now all aircraft activity there has ceased.

Love to see some videos for fluids on motorcycles since you’re doing videos on the like. Oils for motorcycles with wet clutches and whatever. Coolants like the no nitrates or whatever. Clueless on this stuff vs cars. Pretty please with sugar on top😁

so the leading edge of the spitfires has a gap . that is weilded?
@branchandfoundry5606 ай бұрын
Maybe seam sealer, maybe leave as tight gap, certainly not welded. Airplanes undergo heaps of stress & must be allowed to move, which is why they're riveted even to this day. Welds would crack upon first flight.

Since when was the Vulcan a “WW2 plane”?
@28russ8 ай бұрын
It wasn't and they never said it was. What part of first conceived of in 1947 makes it a WW2 plane? And they didn't enter service until 1956 so not even close to a WW2 plane mate. 🤷♂
@hoboharry12078 ай бұрын
They’ve changed the title of the video. It referenced Guy and WW2 planes when I made that comment.
@28russ8 ай бұрын
@@hoboharry1207 Ah ok, fair enough. Channels do that a lot these days to see which title and/ or thumbnail gets the vid more views. Excuse my confusion at your comment then mate. 👍🙂

Such a shame it's sat outside rusting away at a closed Doncaster Airport now. I pass it regularly at the end of the deserted runway. And yet we're spending 1million on a war memorial for a certain demographic.

They might bring it back in service if this stupid war carrys on like it is

Disgraceful isn’t it. Another example of the priorities of these globalist scum we call government.
