My father passed away January 2021. The morning he passed I kept thinking of this song. He had a rough last 6 months of his life, I knew Dad was somewhere life and love never ends. As a heartbroken daughter, it did give me peace to know he was hearing the trumpet sounds and the angels sang the sweet refrain of Amazing Grace.

My cousin sent me this song a day after my Dad died on July 21st this year from Alzheimer's. It was a rough 2 years but my Son and I managed to care for him and he was able to pass at home. This is such a beautiful song and it brought me comfort. I know my Mom was waiting for my Dad, and just knowing they are together again brings me peace. My Dad is free from the evil that is Alzheimer's and for that I am grateful God called him home.

The Sweet Lord gave me this song about an hour or so before my dear Daddy went home to be with the Lord. I was struggling whether to go sit with him yet again that night. I had never seen Guy sing with a lady before and I just hit the picture on KZbin not even looking at the songs title and this is what I believe the Lord guided me to help me go through that hard night. I was listening and listening to it over and over as I held my daddy’s sweet hand until he was in the hands of our precious Lord. What a blessing and a comfort this song has been to me. Heard this song for the first time when searching for a song to play at my parents burial. We lost my dad 4 years ago and my mom this past April 25, 2020. With all the challenges of COVID we were not able to have a celebration of life service for my mom or burial. But we had an intimate family gathering for her and dad’s ashes burial this past July 16, 2021.
