Its because they are Amerindians (Shorter version of American Indians). A lot of South America, especially in the Amazon and Andean countries (Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador) most people are of mestizo descent. That is to say, part Amerindian and part European. Amerindians came from Siberia thousands of years ago and populated the whole of the Americas. As an example, all Amerindians tested so far come from just a few haplogroups. The main maternal haplogroups for Amerindians are A, B, C and D. I myself am A2. A2 is found from Inuits/Canada all the way down to a lot of Central/South American countries.

The so-called AMER'Indians are not Indians; they are Taino peoples with their own Cultural Names which go back but not limited to the Incans, Mayans, Aztecs, Arawaks, *Caribs", and so on. Christopher Columbus had mistaken them for South East Asians of India. He was lost. Shout out to my long, lost friend (Dr.) Desaray Caesar-Foxx, ex-minister! May her Soul-spirit rest in peace! Lohvissimo!
