What is poor? We have never had people living in Di streets. Guyana has always been rich in natural resources. You folks always call other countries poor yet you have no natural resources. You have electrics, things and also people sleeping in the streets, but you are rich.

Have you every been to guyana? The port being built in has nothing to do with coastal protection. The entire coastline of guyana is below sea level. The reason the port is being built is because the sugar industry is collapsing and the current government need to keep their supporters in berbice happy. It does not matter where they build the port. It will still function the same way. The same thing applies to the gas to shore project. It is being built where the whales sugar estate is. There are no coincidences. The question you should ask is "were the citizens consulted in these decisions?". Please go to guyana and do proper research before you give misinformation. All the political parties are corrupt and they are stealing the oil resources. The people are suffering even though they deserve it because they voted for these crooks. I am a guyanese citizen and I do not vote. I do not give my whole consent for someone to make decisions for me. That is my right under a republic. They are supposed to come to me for my permission. Guyana is under siege by corrupt government and corporations. You should talk about that. None of he so called progress will matter if the people are being sidelined in the development of the nation. Appearance does not reflect reality.

I am guyanese. Some of your information is inaccurate. The new demerara bridge is not important to connect georgetown to linden. There is already a direct road for this. The reason for the bridge is to connect west coast and transfer trade away from the residents on the east bank. How does the new port stop flooding in georgetown as you are claiming? Please come here and see for yourself before you publish misinformation.

All information is based on official articles and sources if you know something more than the internet then I suppose it would be more valuable to get more information from you. Thanks for your comment here.

@@Legendary_Builds Of course I know. I live here. The linden highway connects linden to georgetown through the eastbank. The whole bridge and road to connect linden through the eastbank is not need since there is already a road. As I said. You need to come here and see for yourself.

These channels just jump on what the algorithm shows to receive more views , the operator of this channel most certainly does not even know anything about or have any interest in Guyana except in getting views on KZbin. The inaccuracies in the content and general image grab inlayed by a few flying golden arrowhead and shots of Guyana acquired on the general internet. There is no reporting here , no research on the ground and no other gains except financial through views. The title is a giant click bait in itself.

@@robindeodharry2188 you have to blame the current government for using AI to spread misinformation on the facts. Clearly this channel operator got this misinformation from the currently government which is a political agenda. If the current government id not put out misinformation then he would not have gotten it. Look beyond the curtains to see the truth.

Guyana is following the playbook for countries that have oil discoveries. Look at Trinidad and Ghana. All your oil income will be used to take out loans and when oil prices decrease, the country will have to privatize to get a bail out from the IMF. The multi corporations make money both ways, building and buying those assets from guyana. Economic hitman 101.the world bank told guyana they do not need a refinery. Does guyana need hydro electricity with a population of less than 800,000 people. Trinidad with a population of over 1million people, power using only natural gas.

So @ 5:00 you boldly stated that the Mora Hydro will reduce the reliance of imported oil. In the meantime, Guyana is already producing more than 1/2 million barrels of oil. Stop building useless roads to those insignificant villages in the interior and instead, focus on developing oil processing facilities that will generate 100% more revenues than Lethem and Bartica combined.

Guyana’s GDP is high but not because of what’s being earned by its citizens. It’s not because of the export of sugar, bauxite, rice or human capital. It’s because of the earnings of Exxon through oil exports. Guyanese are still dirt poor and desperate. Guyana is still a fourth world country.
