Having grown up as a "Country Boy" and hearing this kinda music since I was a young man, it is nostalgic for me. Music is soothing to the soul, let's all enjoy. Good job Norman.

absolutely love these songs, and trying to sing along to them.. had no idea Guyana had such a unique musical style of its own, not influenced by any of its neighbours ( i'm Brazilian) kind of like a real new blend of Reggae and Calypso, but not at all like them as well ! yep.. i'm confused, but brilliant mix thank you , blessings and light from England

1. See my little brown-boy calling for me (2); baby want to do-do (sleep). He can walk, he can talk, he can run; they told me, let us come (go) home. See the season & the color & the sky multiply; he's a dashy dandy young man. See my little brown-boy calling for me (2); baby want to do-do (sleep). 2. Little girl, little girl; what makes you brazen (contemptuously bold) so? (2) I went 'pon (on) the dam and a boy held my hand, that's why I'm brazen so.(2) This makes me brazen, that makes me brazen, that is why I am brazen so. 3. Look my Kaari - aha, left her maami - aha, to go marry (get married) - aha; For a gold ring - aha, stupid gold ring - aha (yes), stupid (my foot) ... Little girl, little girl; what makes you brazen so ? (2) 4. Jiyo go, girl say where you're going? Jiyo go, girl say where you're going? Someone carrying it, worked obeah. Someone carrying it, get gold band. Someone carrying it, get candles. Someone carrying it, and red powder. Jiyo go, girl say where you're going? Jiyo go, girl say where you're going? Someone carrying it, get white-fowl. Someone carrying it, break fowl's egg. Someone carrying it, light candles. Someone carrying it, upon front-step. 5. Sancho, boy you'd better run; Sancho, boy the police will come. (2) Sancho hit his lover on the dam; and the girl's hollering murder. (2) Vip-vap the police is coming, and the girl's still shouting murder.(3) Sancho boy, you'd better run; for the policeman has come. Run Sancho, you'd better run; otherwise you'll be undone. 6. One sunday morning I was passing, and I saw Sitaira layed down there. So I asked (enquired of) Sitaira what (the hell) she's doing (deh) there. Sitaira hoisted (lifted-up) her petti-coat & wind like a buxom (Buxton?) goat. Shame, shame Sitaira. Shame, shame Sitaira. Shame, shame Sitaira. 7. One day I went to Wakenaam & I spied Sitaira 'pon (upon) the dam (road). So I asked (enquired of) Sitaira what (the hell) she's doing (deh) there. Sitaira hoisted (lifted-up) her petti-coat & wind like a buxom (Buxton?) goat. O Sitaira more men're (men are) there, O Sitaira more men're there (exist).(3) .
