On another note or comment. It's GREAT to see Guyana evolving. My personal opinion on some of the choices of restaurant chains that are introduced to Guyana, are overrated, unhealthy, and certainly NOT the same quality as originated. BK, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, are completely different from what it's like in Canada. In Canada, Starbucks is overrated and overpriced. When KFC was introduced in Guyana in the 90ies. I was disgusted by the taste of it. They only had thighs and drumsticks as your options. I remember asking for white meat, lol. That's how I know that it's the ONLY 2 pieces of chicken that they had. KFC was just opened around the Stabroke market. I can still remember the taste of Demico chicken in the rough 😋 That was our treat on sparatic Friday nights and then drive in movies at Starlite cinema. We lived in the far countryside on ECD. We were fortunate to have a fair sized house on 2.5 acres of land planted with many fruits, coconut trees, different vegetables, and our own vehicle 😅😊 What a vision!! ❤😢

PF Changs is pretty good where I live but I’m noticing the price there is about 20% or so higher and I can’t imagine why. I hope their standards are up to par as it is here. And by the way, I don’t think there’s anything special about “local” Chinese food there. I think there’s so much room for cultural cuisine but local folks need to apply themselves.
