I journey out of Georgetown to Moleson Creek and board the Ferry to South Bank, Suriname. I then journey for another 3 hours to Paramaribo.

The last time I visited Guyana in 1971, when I was sixteen years' old. 90% of my relatives were B.G. born and raised. I was born and raised in Trinidad, of B.G. parents. A lot of innovation and progress occurred after 1971. I hope the Trinidad to Guyana Ferry Project takes off. It might seem a colossal task because the crossing will be the Atlantic Ocean waters, not a river. Also, how will they resolve the problem of Georgetown being under sea level? I hope the finances will be allocated and utilized properly.

My research indicates that time is being understandably spent to ensure the apt sourcing of ferries with relevant logistics and pursuit of occupational safety compliance issues...so I am positive about the project coming onstream.
