Great job! Really made me appreciate the main riff even more. Such a rollercoaster of emotions in the sound and you got it right

So the reason why I wanted to upload this cover is because I'm seeing Green Day tomorrow, I'm hyped and wanted to have another cover on my channel before I leave. The main reason why is because I went to see them in Amsterdam, where they debuted this song live And also in Brussels, the night after. In Amsterdam (debut), Jason played his part only in the intro. In Brussels, Billie played his part only in the intro. Which was perfect because I learned their parts seperately by listening. I learned it with the recording I made with my cellphone. First time I added a 2nd guitar in the intro because it's important to know both guitar parts. Here's Troubled Times! PS: This means that I learned 'the live version".

I know this was a while ago but you wouldn’t happen to remember how you did the part at the end of the solo with the bends?
@GuyDeclerck4 жыл бұрын
it's pretty easy, you go from 13 to 10 right? But before you to 10, you bend the 13th fret slightly up (or in this video down) so you basically have 13 (-> 14 ->) 13 - 10 - 13 ------ 13 (-> 14 ->) 13 - 10 (and then the 4 higher notes)
@JustJqke4 жыл бұрын
Guy Guitar Covers oh ok, that’s pretty simple, thank you
@GuyDeclerck4 жыл бұрын
It's a good solo to learn bending if you've never done it before. At the time I wasn't, I was down-bending my notes and to see it back now is just weird, but at the time it worked :)
@JustJqke4 жыл бұрын
Guy Guitar Covers yeah, I just got started learning to bend notes so this will be a good exercise for me

Alessandro Mattos That's kind of you! My channel isn't uploading anything because I want to set some spotlight on covers who were more on the background because of other covers who were uploader shortly after others :) I am planning so much more covers now that the others are seen, should still be this month! Thank You!

Awesome cover man! How did the concert go man? Was it amazing? I saw them in january for the first time here in germany and was absolutely blown away. Seeing the band that shaped my child hood and the beginnings of my guitar playing was just an awesome experience!
@GuyDeclerck7 жыл бұрын
It was amazing! I did think it was a concert like the others :) it's been 8 times so far in my life, and 4th time this year, the same production and setlist, so nothing new but still amazing :) And thanks for the compliment man!
@danzzmusic17 жыл бұрын
Damn man, you have been to Green Day 8 times in your life and 4 times this year, or concerts in general? Regardless I am jealous man! I am seeing Sum 41 on sunday and it will be amazing too. The energy that these bands put out when they play live. Especially Green Day. Billies vocals are on point, the instruments sound so good and the whole production is just phenomenal!
@GuyDeclerck7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, 2 x Paris, 3 x Netherlands, 2 times Belgium and the most special night in my life: Brixton Academy, London for 4900 people in 2013 :) And i've seen Sum 41 a few times too, 3 x actually It is special! Polished guitar sounds are always good :)

Hey guy, are you already up for covering “Back to the USA”?
@GuyDeclerck7 жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel! Thanks for asking :) I am hoping to get back in the channel with new covers, and Back In The USA is a great song to play But I am waiting with uploads had a few tries of other covers (Blink and JEW) but people wanted to see Green Day so I deleted them and took a break So I want to return with several Green Day covers :) Hope to get back into it as soon as I can, Back in The USA would be cool to start with

@@Favorite_pers Hi! That's no problem! I'm from Belgium and try my best as well! :) I did play on the original track and have my guitars louder overall I never use backing tracks either because I can't find them or prefer to play on the original! :)

Sup! Quick question again lol. Do you know where I can get this guitar (if possible, the signature version), if not, what do I need to change in order to be the “same”?
@GuyDeclerck6 жыл бұрын
Daniel Prado Hi man! well only on second hand/pre owned sites and ebay since these guitars were brought out in 2010, 2012 (mine) and 2013, then discontinued The thing with these guitars is that it has a special H-90 pick up, they are designed and made exclusive/only for the Billie Joe Gibson signature guitars Which is a special pick up, very P-90-ish but can also lean to a more humbucking pick up, it sounds fenomenal So searching for that H-90 pick up and put it in your les paul by a guitar luthier might work or the epiphone les paul jr '57 re issue is reaaaaally close to this one just 10 times cheaper and im pretty sure a lot of Green Day fans are happy with a good Les Paul Junior with P-90s and a good amp :)

It's on the list! :) I'm sure I'll get to it because it was one of the first songs I wanted to play when the Trilogy was released, I'm sure it will be on here sooner or later! Thanks for the request!
@bruisedbug7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the quick reply! I can't wait :D, this is kind of a personal one. But could you do Sweet 16 or no? To me, its like a severely underrated song. And a lot of people get confused about the song, about either you play open or power/barre chords. All the other guitar covers i've seen had some kind of mistake in them.
@GuyDeclerck7 жыл бұрын
Oh Sweet 16! That's such a beautiful and tender song :) I always play Billie's part, and I can only imagine Billie playing it in open chords, however, I prefer the sound of barre chords. So I have no idea how it would turn out, I would try to sound as accurate as possible, but to say it would be without mistakes is a risky promise :)

Thanks dude, really appreciated! :D
